<p>Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will be looking to avenge Mike Tyson when he takes on Jake Paul in a cruiserweight bout June 28.</p><p>Chavez told <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2025/04/27/julio-cesar-chavez-jr-revenge-mike-tyson-jake-paul/#continued">TMZ Sports</a> that he knew he wanted to square off against Paul after watching "The Problem Child" defeat Tyson in their blockbuster boxing match in November.</p><p>"I wanna take revenge for Mike Tyson," the former middleweight champion said. "When I saw the fight, my first thought was, I wanna fight Jake Paul."</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Paul, 27, won via unanimous decision over the 58-year-old Tyson, who was competing in his first pro match in 19 years. </p><p>Chavez, the 39-year-old son of boxing legend Julio Cesar Chavez, owns a 54-6-1 career record with 34 knockouts. Ain't nothing to do here but get drafted," the Miami quarterback said. "So, we gonna get drafted. Most of y'all know where we finna be at - probably Nashville, probably New York. So, we gonna see, but man, if I had some advice for y'all, bring your jackets to Green Bay. It ain't (expletive) to do here, and it's cold as (expletive) too, so I'm out."</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>As Ward indicated, he's widely projected to be drafted No. 1 overall Thursday night by the Tennessee Titans. <p>Nearly three months have passed since <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nba/players/68198" href="https://thescore.com/nba/players/68198">Luka Doncic</a> was traded from the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers, but people still have a lot to say about the move.</p><p>Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta revealed Wednesday at a celebration of the Houston Cougars' run to the NCAA men's basketball championship game that the topic even came up during a recent visit with U.S. President Donald Trump and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. </p><p>Fertitta is the nominee for United States ambassador to Italy.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>"I was in the White House, in the Oval Office, with the prime minister of Italy and the president last Thursday, and we talked about the Houston Cougars, I can promise you, for at least a minute and a half," Fertitta said, according to <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TyiPIXog8w&amp;t=776s">KHOU 11</a>. "And then we talked about that dumbass Luka Doncic trade that Dallas did."</p><p>The Mavs have faced plenty of fan backlash since dealing Doncic to the Lakers in early February as part of a three-team trade that also sent Anthony Davis to Dallas. </p><p>Mavs general manager Nico Harrison recently <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///news/3272129" href="https://thescore.com/news/3272129">admitted</a> he underestimated how popular Doncic was with the team's fanbase before trading the five-time All-Star.</p>

<p>Denver Nuggets interim head coach David Adelman has some suspicions about the acoustics at the Los Angeles Clippers' new arena.</p><p>Adelman, who took over for Mike Malone earlier this month, accused the Clippers of pumping in artificial crowd noise at Intuit Dome while speaking with reporters Wednesday.</p><p>"They have the crowd towards our bench. It's like a high school crowd, which is actually really cool," Adelman said, via <a href="https://x.com/DNVR_Nuggets/status/1915114367793955154">DNVR Nuggets</a>. "And the other thing is they pump sound in the place. That place is so loud ... so that building, it's very loud whether the crowd is cheering or not."</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Adelman added that the arena is "an amazing place" and he'd love to see a concert there. </p><p>The Clippers moved into Intuit Dome for the start of the 2024-25 NBA season after previously sharing Crypto.com Arena with the Los Angeles Lakers. The arena cost $2 billion to build and includes several state-of-the art features, including a section of 51 uninterrupted rows of seats known as The Wall. </p><p>The Nuggets and Clippers will face off in Game 3 of their first-round playoff series Thursday night at Intuit Dome after playing the first two matchups in Denver. The series is tied at 1-1. </p>

Hunter Sr. will be restricted to his hotel grounds and Lambeau Field for his stay, which will run from Wednesday to Friday.</p><p>The elder Hunter, 39, was sentenced to 90 days in jail in September 2024 in connection with his 2023 arrest on gun and drug charges. He was released before December's Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York, where his son won the award, but couldn't attend the event. Hunter Sr.'s been ordered to complete the first year of his three-year probation period under home confinement.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>"I want to say something to my father. He's not here and wasn't able to make it but I know you're watching on TV," the Colorado two-way star said during his acceptance speech. "Dad, I love you. I feel like I fly a lot, so I might look into this thing called TSA PreCheck. "I'm kind of tired of waiting in lines. I think I can afford that. It's a lot of money," the 26-year-old said. "Every two weeks is $50,000 ... there's 52 weeks in a year. ... That's your number."</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Ice baths, hot tubs, steam rooms, red light therapy, and hyperbaric chambers are just a few of the things that money goes toward. </p><p>"The list could go on and on," Lamb said. "What I do for a living, it's very physical, and some short weeks are more lethal than your regular seven-day schedule. So I'm just staying on top of that and always trying to replenish the body, stay hydrated, keep my muscle functioning up, and trying to get a lead on my opponent."</p><p>Lamb signed a four-year, $136-million extension with the Cowboys in August 2024 that included a $38-million signing bonus, the largest ever given to a receiver.</p>

<p>The NBA may have experienced a decline in television ratings this season, but game attendance remained a strong point for the league. </p><p>The average attendance for the 2024-25 regular season was 18,147, the second-best mark in NBA history behind the 2023-24 campaign, according to <a href="https://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/Articles/2025/04/15/nba-has-second-highest-season-attendance-mark-ever/">David Broughton and Tom Friend of Sports Business Journal</a>. It was the second time ever that the NBA's total regular-season attendance exceeded 22.3 million fans.</p><p>The Chicago Bulls, who finished the regular season ranked ninth in the Eastern Conference with a 39-43 record, had the highest average among teams at 20,138 fans per game. The Dallas Mavericks finished second with an average of 20,079, followed by the Philadelphia 76ers in third at 19,844.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>The Los Angeles Clippers saw the biggest drop in attendance with a 12.6% decline after going from an average of 18,946 last season at the 20,000-seat Crypto.com Arena to 16,566 at the new 18,000-seat Intuit Dome.</p>

<p>Colorado two-way star <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///ncaaf/players/179519" href="https://thescore.com/ncaaf/players/179519">Travis Hunter</a> is determined to continue playing both offense and defense at the NFL level.</p><p>Hunter, who's widely projected to be a top-five pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, told <a href="https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/travis-hunter-would-rather-stop-playing-vs-playing-one-position-chats-browns-fit-why-shedeur-sanders-is-qb1/">CBS Sports' Garrett Podell</a> that he would rather stop playing football than limit himself to one position.</p><p>"It's never playing football again," Hunter said. "Because I've been doing it my whole life, and I love being on the football field. I feel like I could dominate on each side of the ball, so I really enjoy doing it."</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Hunter also shared in the interview that he made it clear to NFL teams that he wants to continue playing both sides of the ball, which he said hasn't been an issue for any clubs he's spoken to yet.</p><p>The 21-year-old caught 96 passes for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns as a receiver at Colorado last season and added 35 tackles, four interceptions, and 11 defended passes at cornerback.</p><p> </p>

<p>The Golden State Warriors had an opportunity to clinch a playoff spot and a week's worth of rest Sunday night but instead are heading to the NBA play-in tournament after falling to the Los Angeles Clippers in overtime.</p><p>While the week off would've been beneficial, Warriors forward <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nba/players/2982" href="https://thescore.com/nba/players/2982">Draymond Green</a> said he isn't concerned about the team potentially running out of juice.</p><p>"We'll be fine," Green told reporters following Golden State's 124-119 loss to the Clippers, per <a href="https://x.com/957thegame/status/1911557203087221114">95.7 The Game</a>.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>"Playoffs, you're playing no back-to-backs or anything like that, so just got to get there. We love our senior citizens."</p><p>The Warriors dropped to the seventh seed in the Western Conference with the loss and will host the Memphis Grizzlies in the play-in tournament Tuesday night. He added: "It's one of those things, you just gotta be open to everything."</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Sanders is widely projected to be a top-10 pick in the draft and the second quarterback off the board behind Miami's <a href="https://thescore.com/ncaaf/players/152938">Cam Ward</a>. He's already <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2025/04/09/nfl-draft-qb-visits-tracker-cam-ward-shedeur-sanders/83006989007/">met</a> with the Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, Las Vegas Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Tennessee Titans.</p><p>Sanders also weighed in on potentially being drafted outside of the top three and said he's fine with whatever the outcome is.</p><p>"I don't care," he <a href="https://x.com/UpAndAdamsShow/status/1910656575385284655">said</a>. "I went to an HBCU coming out of high school, and here I am now. You feel me? So the route, I don't care what the route is. At the end of the day it doesn't matter to me. <p>Ken Griffey Jr. has a new gig.</p><p>The Major League Baseball Hall of Famer is working as a credentialed photographer at the 2025 Masters Tournament for Masters.com, according to <a href="https://golfweek.usatoday.com/story/sports/golf/majors/masters/2025/04/10/masters-2025-ken-griffey-jr-photographer/83023006007/">Doug Stutsman of Golfweek</a>. It's Griffey's first time covering the tournament, which kicked off Thursday at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. </p><p>In an interview with "<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SX5kKTNM24Y&amp;t=3090s">Mornings at the Masters</a>," Griffey explained he first took up photography as a way to connect more with his children.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>"It was actually the only way I could see my kids," Griffey said. "I was still playing and I understand how my dad felt like, coming to watch me play. But now with social media, it's a little different. ... I figured nobody's messing with the photographer. Well let me pick it up. Let me try it.</p><p>"And I got a couple photographer friends who sent me a couple cameras and lenses and said, 'Here you go.' And didn't tell me anything about it, just, like, don't put it on auto."</p><p>Griffey retired from baseball in 2010 following a 22-year career that included stints with the Seattle Mariners, Cincinnati Reds, and Chicago White Sox.</p>
