<p>The NFL will begin rolling out a new series of alternate uniforms dubbed the "Rivalries" program this season, Nike and the NFL announced.</p><p>The initiative is the NFL's first major occasional uniform series since the polarizing "Color Rush" program began in 2015. The "Rivalries" concept is reportedly similar to the "City Edition" and "City Connect" uniforms sported by NBA and MLB teams for select games.</p><p>Nike and the NFL described the new uniforms as "rooted extensively in local community insights."</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Each NFL team will be required to wear the jerseys for one home game against a divisional rival each season over a three-year stretch. Because they can only be worn by home teams, no games will feature two competing "Rivalries" uniforms.</p><p>The initial batch of 2025 "Rivalries" uniforms will cover the AFC East and NFC West. <a href="https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-uniform-announcement-league-to-unveil-rivalries-jerseys-beginning-in-2025/">CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones</a> reports they're expected to be publicly unveiled over the summer.</p><p>The AFC South and NFC North will join the program in 2026, the NFC East and AFC West will enter in 2027, and the AFC North and NFC South will complete the program in 2028. </p><p> </p>

(Canadian athletes won 10 gold and 44 total medals at Los Angeles 1984, a total significantly inflated by the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1984_Summer_Olympics_boycott">boycott</a> of 14 Eastern Bloc countries, including the Soviet Union and East Germany.)</p><p>Vincent won her race in a world-best time of 44.12 seconds, just 0.01 seconds over American Nevin Harrison, who had to settle for the silver. Yarisleidis Cirilo Duboys of Cuba took the bronze with a time of 44.36 seconds.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>The gold marks the second Olympic medal in Paris for Vincent after she claimed bronze Friday with partner Sloan MacKenzie in women's double 500m canoe. Vincent also won bronze in women's double 500m canoe at Tokyo 2020, giving her three career Olympic medals. </p><p>Vincent joined Summer McIntosh and Ilya Kharun as the only Canadians to win multiple medals in Paris. <p>U.S. swimming star Caeleb Dressel earned his 10th Olympic medal on Sunday as part of his country's men's 4x100m medley relay team, but it was his first medal that wasn't gold.</p><p>In the final day of swimming medals, the U.S. team of Dressel, Ryan Murphy, Hunter Armstrong, and Nic Fink were upset by China and finished with silver. It was the first loss in the event for the Americans in the last 11 Summer Olympics.</p><p>China's anchor Pan Zhanle surged past France's Florent Manaudou and held off Armstrong in the last 50 meters of the relay, swimming his leg in under 46 seconds. France's relay team, consisting of breakout star Leon Marchand, rounded out the podium with bronze.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Dressel's 10th Olympic medal and first non-gold leaves him tied for second on the all-time gold medals list among Americans behind Michael Phelps' 23 golds. Dressel previously won gold in the men's 4x100m freestyle relay and the mixed 4x100m medley relay in Paris.</p>

<p>World record holder Summer McIntosh took gold in the women's 400m individual medley Monday, marking the first gold medal of the 17-year-old Canadian's Olympic career.</p><p>It's McIntosh's second medal in Paris following a silver in the 400m freestyle Saturday.</p><p>Americans Katie Grimes and Emma Weyant earned silver and bronze, respectively, in Monday's event.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>McIntosh finished the event in a time of 4:27.71, roughly two seconds off her own world record but nearly six seconds ahead of Grimes' silver-medal time.</p><p>McIntosh is set to compete in four individual events in Paris, with the 200m individual medley and 200m butterfly set to go later this week. She is also expected to participate as a member of Canada's relay teams. </p>

<p>Canadian judoka Christa Deguchi claimed her country's first gold medal at the 2024 Paris Games by defeating South Korea's Huh Mi-mi in the women's 57kg final on Monday.</p><p>The win came in dramatic fashion, with neither combatant scoring a point in the match before Huh was disqualified in the golden score period for a third shido (penalty) following a false attack.</p><p>Deguchi also went the distance in a scoreless semifinal against home favorite Sarah Leonie Cysique of France, with the Canadian World No. 1 also winning that match on a decisive third shido by her opponent. </p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>In both the final and semifinal, Deguchi finished with two shidos. </p><p>It's Canada's first ever gold medal in judo. </p>
