MADRID (AP) — Power was restored at the Caja Magica tennis complex Tuesday and the Madrid Open resumed with a packed schedule following a day in which 22 matches had to be postponed.After a major blackout, most parts of Madrid regained power Monday night but organizers said the Caja Magica was still without electricity early Tuesday, prompting a delay in the opening of the gates for fans.But the power came back quickly, and organizers did not have to alter the day’s schedule of matches.<div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div>There were huge lines outside the complex, and people with tickets for Monday's matches were not allowed back in. Organizers were yet to say how those ticket holders would be compensated.“Nobody said anything yet,” said Juan Duato, who was denied entry when he arrived on Monday during the power outage. “They said we couldn't come in and asked us to contact customer support. Apparently they will send us an email.”Fans already inside were asked to leave the Caja Magica a few hours after the outage happened shortly after 12:30 p.m. local time (1030 GMT) on Monday. It was the Giants’ fifth walk-off win of the year, and it was, by far, the most unorthodox.“It’s been a minute,” Ramos said on the last time he rounded the bases in a similar way.<div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div>Ramos tapped the first pitch he saw from Rangers reliever Luke Jackson softly toward third. Jackson barehanded the ball and flung it wildly past the dive of Jake Burger at first. Ramos slowed down as he rounded second, thinking that Burger had already retrieved the ball.But, Burger was just picking up the ball in foul territory down the right field line. Ramos saw third base coach Matt Williams furiously waving him to continue — and he kept going. Burger’s throw to third was also off the mark, skipping down the left field line and allowing Ramos to easily scamper home.“I thought he had the ball already, and then I saw Matt waving me in, and I just kept going,” Ramos said.Ramos' hesitation at second helped him in the end.“He was unaware when he went to second that he could’ve been easily at third,” Giants manager Bob Melvin said. “Once he was aware of that, then they had to make the play on him. Gave a Toyota a stage win. Nice job. Way to go ... put that in the book.”Cindric was unconcerned by the idea Logano might take issue with the wreath on the Penske plane.“I think that would be very immature,” Cindrick said. “I don’t see him doing that. We’ll see.”It was a celebratory day for Cindric, who gave Team Penske its first NASCAR victory of the season by holding off a huge pack of challengers over the closing lap in a rare drama-free day at Talladega Superspeedway.“Rock on, guys,” Cindric said over his radio. “Rock and roll. He said he wanted to make a move to try to take the win from Cindric but there was never any room.“I wanted to take it but I felt like the gap was too big,” Larson said. “I was just stuck inside and just doing everything I could to advance our lane and maybe open it up to where I then could get to the outside. But we were all just pushing so equally that it kept the lanes jammed up.”Logano was fifth and followed by Noah Gragson for two more Ford cars, while Hendrick driver Chase Elliott was seventh — two spots ahead of teammate Alex Bowman, with Carson Hocevar of Spire Motorsports sandwiched in between at eighth. Wallace at 10th was the highest-finishing Toyota driver.Cindric led five times but for only seven of the 188 laps in an unusually calm race for chaotic Talladega. The track last fall recorded the largest crash in the NASCAR history when 28 cars were collected in a demolition derby with four laps remaining.On Sunday, there were only four cautions — two for stage breaks — totaling 22 laps. It was the fourth consecutive Talladega race with only four cautions, the two for stage breaks and the two for natural cautions.But, Sunday featured season-highs in lead changes (67) among different drivers (23). Only five cars failed to finish from the 40-car field, and a whopping 30 drivers finished on the lead lap.Cindric marked the 10th consecutive different winner at Talladega, extending the track record of no repeat winners. And, by the time it was over, Logano seemed to have calmed down.“About time one of us wins these things,” Logano said of the Penske trio. “When you think about the amount of laps led by Team Penske and Ford in general, just haven’t been able to close. To see a couple of Fords on the front row duking it out, I wish one of them was me, in a selfish way. But it’s good to see those guys running up there and being able to click one off.”Larson sets NASCAR record for stage winsWhen he won the first stage at Talladega, it was the 67th of Larson’s career and made him NASCAR’s all-time stage winner. He broke a tie with Martin Truex Jr. with the stage win.Stages were introduced in 2017 as a way to ensure natural breaks during races that allowed fans to rush to the bathroom or concession stand without missing any action. Cars typically make a pit stop during a stage break.Teammate-on-teammate collisionJoe Gibbs Racing drivers Christopher Bell and Denny Hamlin, who combined to win five of the first nine races this season, had a collision on a restart that ensured Bell would not win his fourth race of the season.It happened in the first stage of the race with Bell on the front row next to Chris Buescher on his inside, and with Hamlin behind him. As the cars revved to get up to speed at the green flag, Hamlin ran into the back of Bell, which caused him to turn into Buescher and create the second caution of the race.Bell went to the garage, where he joined Ryan Blaney, Buescher and Brad Keselowski, all betting favorites who were done for the day before the end of the first stage.“What in the hell? They finished at 7-under 281 at The Club at Carlton Woods.Saigo won on the 18th in the playoff after Yin and Jutanugarn had birdie tries lip out. Jutanugarn bogeyed the 18th in regulation after stubbing her third shot only inches.Jutanugarn led for most of the final round before her late gaffe after making two birdies and an eagle on the front nine.“The front nine was very solid especially with the eagle, but back nine just couple mistakes on par 5 that I made; two bogeys,” she said.Saigo won for the first time on the LPGA Tour. She was the tour’s rookie of the year last season. She’s the first Japanese winner in the event and the fifth major champion. She has six victories on the Japanese tour, five in 2022.The victory comes after runner-up finishes at the CPKC Women’s Open and Buick LPGA Shanghai last year.“Last year it was a very intense competition,” she said. “I was so close but I was not able to make it. It was very disappointing. This year I was able to win and earn the LPGA title and I’m extremely excited about this.”The 34-year-old Duncan bogeyed the playoff hole to come up short in her more than a decade-long quest to win her first title. But she was still happy with her performance overall.“Yeah, top five in a major, any week, is unbelievable; to have a chance, feeling the nerves,” she said. “And I feel like I have some things to learn about how to handle my swing and things like that. WASHINGTON (AP) — Washington Nationals third baseman Paul DeJong will undergo surgery Monday on his fractured nose, manager Dave Martinez said after the team’s 8-7 victory over the New York Mets on Sunday.
DeJong was hit in the face by a pitch from Pittsburgh’s Mitch Keller on April 15 and was placed on the injured list the next day.
Martinez did not provide an exact timetable for DeJong’s return.

“Hopefully everything comes out well,” Martinez said. “After that, we’ll see what happens. We have to let everything settle in and we’ll get him back here as soon as possible.”
The 31-year-old DeJong signed a one-year, $1 million contract with Washington in February after splitting last season between the Chicago White Sox and Kansas City. He hit .204 with two RBIs in 16 games for the Nationals before the injury.

The Argentine star winger was not in the starting lineup or among the reserves when the club released its roster before the match.Inter Miami lost at Vancouver in the first leg of its CONCACAF Champions Cup semifinal round on Thursday. Messi played the entire 90 minutes of Miami’s 2-0 loss.With Miami hosting Vancouver in the second leg on Wednesday, the 37-year-old Messi playing Sunday seemed unlikely.
