Jazz Chisholm Jr. isn't going to let being booed by Yankees fans dissuade him from returning to New York.

"I do hope to be back," the pending free agent said Wednesday after the Yankees were eliminated from the postseason, according to The Athletic's Brendan Kuty.

Chisholm produced a .231/.312/.399 slash line with 19 home runs, 55 RBIs, 41 steals, and a 98 wRC+ during the final year of his contract with the Yankees. Those numbers were a drop-off from his 2025 All-Star campaign when he posted a 30-30 season with a 125 wRC+.

The 28-year-old set lofty goals ahead of the 2026 season when he said he was capable of putting together a 50-50 campaign. Shortly after those comments, reports surfaced claiming Chisholm was seeking an 8-to-10 year contract with a $35-million annual average salary.

Chisholm's season didn't pan out the way he had hoped and it culminated with him hearing it from Yankees fans during the ALDS sweep at the hands of the Tampa Bay Rays.

Despite the negative reactions from the Bronx faithful, Chisholm said he doesn't want to play anywhere else.

"I've had a great time being a Yankee," he said.

"Who doesn't want to stay with a team that you've had such great times with and great years with? To see it maybe end here sucks, but it's part of the business."
