Spurs drain Finals-record 14 triples in 1st half of Game 4

The San Antonio Spurs made 14 3-pointers in the opening half of Wednesday's Game 4 to establish a new record for made triples in one half of a Finals contest.

The Spurs bettered the Cleveland Cavaliers' previous play-by-play era mark (13) from Game 4 of the 2017 Finals, according to The Associated Press' Josh Dubow.

Spurs rookie Dylan Harper established the record by sinking a trey with 57.8 seconds remaining in the second quarter.

Devin Vassell led the way with perfect 4-of-4 shooting from deep.

The hot shooting helped San Antonio claim a 76-49 advantage going into the break, breaking the NBA Finals record for most points in the first half by a road team.

Victor Wembanyama led the Spurs with 16 points (6-of-11 from the field).
