The Utah Jazz are "genuinely torn" between taking AJ Dybantsa, Cameron Boozer, or Darryn Peterson with the No. 2 overall pick in this year's draft, sources told The Athletic's Tony Jones.
Utah reportedly hosted Dybantsa and Boozer for private workouts. The Jazz weren't surprised that Peterson canceled this week's session with the franchise, adds Jones.
The Kansas standout apparently has no plans to meet with any other teams after recently visiting the Washington Wizards, who hold the top selection in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Dybantsa is no stranger to Utah, having played his final year of high school and lone collegiate season in the state. The 6-foot-9 forward averaged a nation-leading 25.5 points and earned consensus first-team All-American honors during his only campaign at BYU. He also won the Julius Erving Award as the top small forward in college basketball.
Boozer, also a one-and-done prospect, averaged 22.5 points, 10.2 boards, 4.1 assists, and 1.4 steals across 38 appearances with Duke. He beat out Dybantsa for this year's Wooden Award, which is given annually to the most outstanding men's college basketball player.
A series of cramping issues limited Peterson to 24 games with Kansas. However, the 6-foot-5 guard flashed his promise when available, tallying 20.2 points, 4.2 boards, 1.6 assists, and 1.4 steals per contest. He was ESPN's No. 2 overall recruit in the 2025 class behind Dybantsa.
The Jazz finished 22-60 last season and missed the playoffs for the fourth straight campaign.
