The Pittsburgh Pirates placed outfielder Oneil Cruz on the 10-day injured list with non-displaced fractures in the fourth and fifth metacarpals of his left hand, the club announced Wednesday.

Cruz is expected to miss four-to-six weeks, a source told Kevin Gorman of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

The 27-year-old began feeling discomfort in his hand after sliding into home plate during Saturday's game against the Atlanta Braves. He sat out Tuesday's series opener versus the Los Angeles Dodgers as a result.

Cruz has 14 homers, 44 RBIs, and 21 stolen bases to go along with an .822 OPS over 64 games this season. The 2025 NL steals leader was on pace for his first 30-30 campaign prior to being sidelined.

The Pirates recalled outfielder Billy Cook to take Cruz's spot on the roster.
