With the San Antonio Spurs defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder in Saturday's Game 7, the 2026 NBA Finals schedule is officially set.
The championship series begins Wednesday night in San Antonio. Every game is scheduled to tip off at 8:30 p.m. ET.
The San Antonio-New York matchup is a rematch of the 1999 Finals. The Spurs prevailed in five games, and Tim Duncan was named Finals MVP.
Game 5 in 1999 was the last time Madison Square Garden hosted a Finals contest. The title series returns to the historic stadium June 8.
New York has been idle since completing a sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers on May 25. The Knicks reeled off 11 straight victories across their postseason matchups against the Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Cavs.
The Knicks defeated the Spurs to win the NBA Cup in December, and the teams split their regular-season series at one game apiece.
San Antonio is looking to secure the franchise's sixth Larry O'Brien Trophy, while the Knicks seek to end a 53-year NBA championship drought by topping the Spurs.
