The Washington Wizards are acquiring free-agent forward Khris Middleton in a sign-and-trade with the Dallas Mavericks, his agent told ESPN's Shams Charania.

Middleton will sign a three-year, $17.6-million deal with Washington.

The deal will officially be recorded by the league as part of a six-team swap that also includes the Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit Pistons, Milwaukee Bucks, and Memphis Grizzlies. Detroit's reported three-year, $51-million contract with John Collins is one of multiple other deals expected to be finalized through the multi-team swap, according to Charania.

Washington will also reportedly send D'Angelo Russell, a future second-round pick, and the right to swap future second-rounders to the Grizzlies in the deal.

Middleton started 34 games for Washington last season before being shipped to the Mavericks in the trade that sent Anthony Davis to D.C. The 34-year-old averaged a combined 10.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists with both clubs over 63 contests.

Coincidentally, of the six teams involved in the reported agreement, the Grizzlies and Clippers are the only ones that Middleton has not played for during his 14-year career.
