Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor said he hasn't requested to be traded amid the team's apparent rebuild, but he knows his future is out of his control.

"I haven't heard anything, and I can't control that," Taylor said Thursday, according to ESPN's Stephen Holder. "Obviously, you guys know that I'm always proud to wear the horseshoe, proud to be here."

The 2-5 Colts have already started making moves ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline, shipping off veteran guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers this week. The trades came in the wake of the franchise firing general manager Chris Ballard.

However, Taylor dismissed talk about the Colts' fire sale.

"You think we're rebuilding?" Taylor said. "For me, being a competitor ... no one goes out there to wave the white flag. We're going out there to compete. We're going out there to get a W."

The three-time Pro Bowler has been at the center of trade buzz in recent weeks. He's reportedly expected to draw interest from multiple teams, including the Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, and Minnesota Vikings.

Taylor, who's signed through the 2028 season, has rushed for 587 yards and eight touchdowns through seven games this year.
